It is a single type assist that uses Pike's power model "Pike Type R", which is said to have revolutionized the concept of jigging hooks. It supports a wide range of applications from fast jerks to slow jerks with one assist that takes advantage of the quickness of hooking, holding performance, and power. All use GP rings, and the assist line is #1 to #3/0, which is a braided line specification for inshore jigging classes, and #4/0, which is difficult to hold the jig and is ideal for deep fishing, and can confront big fish. ~6/0 uses a 4-braid specification (#8/0 has 6 strands) to provide moderate tension and increase strength
